Hike Details

The Lerderderg Gorge Circuit offers a diverse and challenging experience for hikers. Starting from a popular picnic area, the trail follows the Lerderderg River upstream to Graham's Dam, a serene spot ideal for a refreshing swim. Along the way, hikers can explore remnants of settlers' mining work, adding a historical element to the journey. The trail then ascends steeply up a broad spur with some rock scrambling sections, offering impressive views through the gorge. At the top, it intersects with the Blackwood Ranges Track, providing a relatively flat walk before a steep descent back into the gorge.
