What is the HikeFit Preparation Program ?
Our 8-week preparation program is designed to get you physically, mentally, and logistically ready for your next big hiking adventure.
The program addresses to active individuals ready to take the next step in their hiking journey, as well as hikers wanting to build on their existing experience.
HikeFit Program develops your fitness, confidence, and trail skills so you can tackle multi-day adventures safely with assurance.
Experience a program that combines on-the-trail, in-person, and online preparation, including field practice, workshops, and coaching with both group and individual guidance.
The program wraps up with an exciting overnight hike where you’ll put everything you’ve learned into practice, or take it even further by joining one of our signature Hiking Adventures! (See our upcoming Adventures below)
What the Program includes

The Highlander Australia
This is a Special Edition.
Take on an internationally recognised multi-day hiking challenge with the support of your Hike Tribe community and preparation team. Hike Tribe partners with Highlander Australia to provide specialised training for hikers aiming to join this event, for both the Pegasus (3-day) and Hercules (5-day) formats. By participating, you’ll not only be fully prepared for the challenge but also enter the event as part of a supportive Hike Tribe team, making it an unforgettable alpine adventure!

“So many people train for marathons, triathlons, and other sports events but hardly anyone actually trains for a strenuous hiking trip. You know, those steep climbs, uneven trails, and carrying a 15-kilo pack for days on end.
That has always amazed me.
Over the years, I’ve seen the impact of showing up unprepared, injuries that set people back for months, or hikes that turn into a struggle instead of something to enjoy. I’ve made those same mistakes myself, which is exactly why I spent the last five years creating a program that helps people get hiking fit, feel strong, safe, and confident out there, with the support of a hiking crew.
While it prepares you for adventure, this program is about far more than training. It’s about reconnecting, with nature, with others, and with yourself. It’s about exploring the outdoors that surrounds us, creating healthy habits, making time to move and breathe, and improving your mental wellbeing.
